Welcome on aboard SV/ JUCA

Our philosophy is to live in peace and harmony with each other and to have lots of fun doing it! We practice compassion and unconditional love and experience that there are no mistakes only stepping stones while we grow on our journey.

We have sold our house in August 2009 and moved from Mangawhai / New Zealand to Norfolk/Virginia to board our Sailing Vessel Juca in January 2010.

Juca is the name of our beautiful 60 foot Morgan, and the name is a creation of the first initials of our amazing inspiriations, Julia and Carlos.

I hope you all will enjoy reading our blog and following our travels around the Caribbean.

We have done it again ....

This time it was time to celebrate the birthday from my friend Caroline. Oh my gosh, what a night and we paid for it badly the next day. We might not be 15 anymore, but we can still party like they do....We started off with a "cosy" dinner at the Curry House in Road Town. The Take Away had just opened a week ago and we all were keen to experience a good Curry night. Well it was certainly an experience, the food was good, but as we all know that the eye is also judging the meal. However we had fun and after the Curry House we went to the Watering Hole. This is a wine bar in the middle of town. The athmosphere began to loosen up after the second bottle of wine and you could hear our laughter for miles. Luckily there was a second birthday party present, so they could not blame the noise all on us. Once we had enough of the "big City" we decided to continue to party in "the last resort". Wow, we met Sarah and Konrad there and the comment Sarah made was, as soon as you girls entered the premises the air was on fire and the party began. Al and Jeff gave their best and when "rowing" Kim joined them on the drums there was no barriers for us in place anymore. We rocked until they stopped the music and even then did we continue to enjoy the athmosphere of the "Last Resort". Kim and Caroline challenged Al for a game of table soccer, and whatever they tried they lost high, however they were still in high spirit and motivated enough to try it over and over again......go girls.....We finally went home at 2 in the morning but before we parted we managed to organise to meet again for a yoga session on the beach at 7.30 am....autsch we made it in time to the beach the next morning. We made it through the yoga class allright, but I believe the best part of this class was the relaxation afterwards. We paid dearly and I had to wear sunglasses all day today .....somehow the sun seemed much brighter the day after.......
