I have introduced a few new subjects into our school routine. We are now beginning our day with a Mini Yoga class and a short relaxation afterwards. Luckily Julia and Carlos have already been exposed to Yoga for a long time and had the luck to participate in my Yoga for children classes back in New Zealand, so they know a lot of postures already. We mainly will be concentrating on the Sun Salutation as I believe that this will help them to stay balanced little beings. We also start typing and my goal is to teach them the 10 finger system, see how I will get on with that. Julia is very happy and eager to deepen her knowledge on the keyboard; Carlos opinion in this matter is different, as he cannot see the benefit of it yet, but I am sure he will thank me for it one day. This term we will be concentrating on our reading and writing skills. They are already good readers, but I would like to extend their knowledge here and hoping that Carlos will catch the reading bug as Julia has done. I am really organized for this term, and realize that I have learned a lot and getting better from term to term with my homeschooling. We have grown into a really good team and whether I have done a good job or not will show once they both have to go back to a public school. I really do hope that I will get a chance to put them into a French speaking school for a while, once we are getting to St. Martin. However this will depends whether we are getting a job in St. Martin or not, if not we will be on our way towards Panama via Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic maybe Jamaica and Costa Rica. Sven did not feel to good today after eating a rotten chicken last night, poor guy needed a lot of TLC today and peace and quietness around him.
Welcome on aboard SV/ JUCA
Our philosophy is to live in peace and harmony with each other and to have lots of fun doing it! We practice compassion and unconditional love and experience that there are no mistakes only stepping stones while we grow on our journey.
We have sold our house in August 2009 and moved from Mangawhai / New Zealand to Norfolk/Virginia to board our Sailing Vessel Juca in January 2010.
Juca is the name of our beautiful 60 foot Morgan, and the name is a creation of the first initials of our amazing inspiriations, Julia and Carlos.
I hope you all will enjoy reading our blog and following our travels around the Caribbean.
