I haven't decided yet what is worse; having no wind or the heat. We are approaching summer with big steps and the heat and humidity is reaching an unpleasant level again. Never mind, we have survived it once in the Dominican Republic we can do it again ....
At the moment we are exploring St. Martin. This morning we got up fairly early and once we finished our homeschooling program we went into the french part of St. Martin and walked for miles ....it was very, very hot and the bottle of water made it rounds over and over again. Every shop was an invitation to cool down and to look at all the beautiful clothing and jewelery on display. After a couple of hours we were hot and sweaty and had enough of walking, especially the children and we decided to take the bus to the Dutch side of St. Martin. The public transportation is great here in St. Martin, the buses are going between Marigot and Philipsburg every 10 minutes; for only $ 1 per person. It is a nice scienic drive over the mountain to the other side and we all enjoy sitting on the bus and having a breeze in our face. In the middle of Philipsburg we got off the bus and had a good look around. In the end we ended up for a stroll in a huge supermarket " Cost you less".....wow, we felt like being in a candy shop. Everything was cheap, compared to the shopping we have done in the last few months in the Caribbean. We are happy and decide to do our provision here before sailing further down south. I have a feeling that we will either end up in Grenada or even Trinidad. I had a good look on the internet today and it seems that there are some job opportunities in Trinidad for Sven, they have got an international school there as well as a few interesting yoga studio. We are planning to leave St. Martin probably this weekend; once we have organised everything with the broker here in St. Martin and we are provisioned for the next leg.
