Welcome on aboard SV/ JUCA

Our philosophy is to live in peace and harmony with each other and to have lots of fun doing it! We practice compassion and unconditional love and experience that there are no mistakes only stepping stones while we grow on our journey.

We have sold our house in August 2009 and moved from Mangawhai / New Zealand to Norfolk/Virginia to board our Sailing Vessel Juca in January 2010.

Juca is the name of our beautiful 60 foot Morgan, and the name is a creation of the first initials of our amazing inspiriations, Julia and Carlos.

I hope you all will enjoy reading our blog and following our travels around the Caribbean.

My trip to Sedona

I got up fairly early this morning, and had my Yoga practice before getting picked up from Trish. Trish drove me to Road Town, where I was catching the Ferry to St. Thomas. On our way to Road Town we stopped at the Salt Pond just outside of Trellis Bay and would you believe it I saw my first wild Flamingoes. Wow, what a sight to start a beautiful day! Watching the birds in the morning light was very peaceful and delighful.
When I arrived at the Ferry Terminal I got a aqueezy feeling in my stomach and I was already missing my family! I got my ticket and the Ferry was leaving a 10 o'clock and our time was great and left enough time to get a poppy lemon seed muffin and a hot chocolate. YUM YUM!
The immigration into the US was no problem and there was no hick up at all and before I knew it I was sitting onthe plane to Phoenix, via Atlanta. I had two four hour trips in front of me with a waiting time of three hours in between. Luckily I had a good book with me and so the time was flying reasonable fast. It all felt very strange, this is so new to me, travelling without my family and especially flying without Julia and Carlos who usually keep me company during our flights to Germany and I missed this company dearly.
By the time I arrived in Phoenix it was 1.30 am early in the morning Trellis Bay time.I got my luggage and searched for a good place to put my head down for a few hours before I continue my journey to Sedona. I found a quiet spot around the corner of some seating arrangements. I rolled out my yoga mat and covered myself with that beautiful red blanket I took from the plane.....good night everybody!!!
