Welcome on aboard SV/ JUCA

Our philosophy is to live in peace and harmony with each other and to have lots of fun doing it! We practice compassion and unconditional love and experience that there are no mistakes only stepping stones while we grow on our journey.

We have sold our house in August 2009 and moved from Mangawhai / New Zealand to Norfolk/Virginia to board our Sailing Vessel Juca in January 2010.

Juca is the name of our beautiful 60 foot Morgan, and the name is a creation of the first initials of our amazing inspiriations, Julia and Carlos.

I hope you all will enjoy reading our blog and following our travels around the Caribbean.

.....more rainy days in Luperon

oh man...... it is still raining in Luperon and slowly it becomes annoying...nothing is getting dry and I have to put my spring clean on hold (not a real complaint). However it also has got it good sides, because Sven does not have to make any water or have to get water from the dock :) We had so much rain, that it keeps topping up our watertank....and so we can use that time effeciently to invite Toni and Rosemary from SV "English Rose for a glass of wine and a jam session....lots of fun!
Julia and Carlos are still entertaining themselves with watching movies, playing with their playmobil and working their way through our board games. We have been learning a few new games and enjoying to challenge each other, especially in Backgammon.

I still have been trying to teach Yoga three times a week, but I had to cancel it a couple of times last week, due to getting too wet on the way to the Yacht Club. I am also trying to make the most out of the wet weather and have been busy downloading all our music onto the computer. What a mission, but I am really looking forward to the end result...clearing space, storing it on our new Harddrive and getting rid of the masses of CD's.
The water in the harbour looks awful.... it looks muddy, dirty and the surface is covered with plastic and other rubbish. The rain has brought down all the mud from the surrounding mountains as well as cleaning out the gatters and streets of Luperon....
