We are all missing Sven on the boat and we are counting down the days until he is arriving back from his boat ; however in saying this it is still nice to have the space on JUCA to ourselves. We have got a great routine going and the time is flying by and teaching has started to become fun. I can see the results from our hard work stomping through the Curriculum. We get up in the mornings setting the table and enjoying a peaceful round during breakfast. Once the dishes are done we are getting ready for our school work. We do our math practice, spelling, reading and writing, which usually takes us between three to four hours. I feel and believe we all have made huge improvements in working as a homeschooling team. During our lunch break we go for a swim in the water, it becomes warmer by the day. After school we go for long walks on the beach and it is always nice to feel the warm soft sand underneath our feet. Nothing has been happening on the moving back to New Zealand front and so we are going with the flow and awaiting what there is to come. Our Laptop has started to go crazy; first our Outlook program has given up on us and since yesterday some of our letters (the z,x,c and the n and m is not working) on the type setting are not working anymore and did you actually know how often you use those letters In the matter of fact ….quiet often…. so now I am using Carlos computer to get my writing and emails done. Tomorrow, Julia, Carlos and me have to go to Road Town to get an extension for our Visa, hopefully this will be our last extension for the BVI’s, I do hope that we will be on our way to St. Martin as soon as Sven comes back home.
Welcome on aboard SV/ JUCA
Our philosophy is to live in peace and harmony with each other and to have lots of fun doing it! We practice compassion and unconditional love and experience that there are no mistakes only stepping stones while we grow on our journey.
We have sold our house in August 2009 and moved from Mangawhai / New Zealand to Norfolk/Virginia to board our Sailing Vessel Juca in January 2010.
Juca is the name of our beautiful 60 foot Morgan, and the name is a creation of the first initials of our amazing inspiriations, Julia and Carlos.
I hope you all will enjoy reading our blog and following our travels around the Caribbean.
