Welcome on aboard SV/ JUCA

Our philosophy is to live in peace and harmony with each other and to have lots of fun doing it! We practice compassion and unconditional love and experience that there are no mistakes only stepping stones while we grow on our journey.

We have sold our house in August 2009 and moved from Mangawhai / New Zealand to Norfolk/Virginia to board our Sailing Vessel Juca in January 2010.

Juca is the name of our beautiful 60 foot Morgan, and the name is a creation of the first initials of our amazing inspiriations, Julia and Carlos.

I hope you all will enjoy reading our blog and following our travels around the Caribbean.

Meeting interesting people

Today has been a strange day in regards of weather, it has been raining on and off.We are really enjoying ourselves here on Norman Island and meeting more and more interesting people. Yesterday we met a couple with two cute little boys. Alistair comes from Wellington, NZ, and his wife is from the States. They have been living in Bolivia for the last 13 years and own a Mountain bike company and a backpacker in La Paz. They take people from all over the world mountain biking on the world most dangerous road ….just looking at some pictures gives you adrenalin shot all right! We have a most enjoyable time that evening with them and her parents. Her parents are living in St. Thomas and have met years ago in Germany and have wonderful memories of Germany and still speak a bit of German. Once they left the Island, we met a couple from Bavaria and spend a day with them and thereafter we meet up with Klaus und Christine from Hamburg. We hardly get a break in meeting people and as we turn around Jonathan and Morney with their Catamaran Calabra are back in the Bay of Norman Island. We have a lot to catch up on as they have been to Virgin Gorda and back and are on their way to St. Thomas to fly over to the Dominican Republic. Well here we can throw in a few good ideas of what to do and don’t do, especially around the Luperon area .
