Welcome on aboard SV/ JUCA

Our philosophy is to live in peace and harmony with each other and to have lots of fun doing it! We practice compassion and unconditional love and experience that there are no mistakes only stepping stones while we grow on our journey.

We have sold our house in August 2009 and moved from Mangawhai / New Zealand to Norfolk/Virginia to board our Sailing Vessel Juca in January 2010.

Juca is the name of our beautiful 60 foot Morgan, and the name is a creation of the first initials of our amazing inspiriations, Julia and Carlos.

I hope you all will enjoy reading our blog and following our travels around the Caribbean.

Back to a routine - more or less

We are still enjoying the serene surrounds of Norman Island. We still find it beautiful here and each day we discover something new or doing something exciting. Being here now for nearly two weeks has help us to get into a semi routine. Very much to the delight of Carlos and Julia we also have started our schooling routine again. We had a break of three weeks and I felt they needed some brain motivation, so now we are back to timetables, reading and writing into our diary. Sven has kept himself busy with cleaning the bottom of the boat, reparing the anchor winch the second time round...this time it only takes half the time, which puts a smile on his face. I go for my daily morning walk, enjoying my Yoga practice in between, on top of the Island.
Autsch......I slipped of the stairs yesterday and broke my second right toe, that hurts and has now turned blue and violet. However this morning I did not want to miss my yoga practice and crawled up the hill and had to shorten my sun salutation....too much bending of the toes.....
Today Carlos and Julia had their first dive lesson.....they loved it very much and could not get enough of it.
