We have never really paid much attention to Halloween, as it has never really been a big event for us in New Zealand. This year we could not avoid celebrating Halloween, having so many Americans around us. To make the most out of it, I decided to use Halloween also as a theme for our school day. I looked up some school fun staff to do for Halloween and then our biggest mission was to make a costume. Luckily I had some fabric on the boat and was able to make Julia a beautiful dress….. she looked so beautiful that night… it was scary to see how my little girl is growing up too fast. Carlos costume was easy… he design his own” bloody” shirt by drawing on it and cutting wholes into it. He did not like cutting holes into his T-shirt very much, but once we did do the same to Daddy’s shirt he was ok with it. At night we had the Halloween party at Shaggy, so round about six o’clock we met up with some friends and walked over to Shaggy. We had dinner there, joined a Halloween parade through the township of Luperon and thereafter we danced the night away and sang along to the Karaoke songs that Ryan had brought along. It was a great night to remember and we all had lotsof fun and way past midnight it was time to go home.
Welcome on aboard SV/ JUCA
Our philosophy is to live in peace and harmony with each other and to have lots of fun doing it! We practice compassion and unconditional love and experience that there are no mistakes only stepping stones while we grow on our journey.
We have sold our house in August 2009 and moved from Mangawhai / New Zealand to Norfolk/Virginia to board our Sailing Vessel Juca in January 2010.
Juca is the name of our beautiful 60 foot Morgan, and the name is a creation of the first initials of our amazing inspiriations, Julia and Carlos.
I hope you all will enjoy reading our blog and following our travels around the Caribbean.
