Welcome on aboard SV/ JUCA

Our philosophy is to live in peace and harmony with each other and to have lots of fun doing it! We practice compassion and unconditional love and experience that there are no mistakes only stepping stones while we grow on our journey.

We have sold our house in August 2009 and moved from Mangawhai / New Zealand to Norfolk/Virginia to board our Sailing Vessel Juca in January 2010.

Juca is the name of our beautiful 60 foot Morgan, and the name is a creation of the first initials of our amazing inspiriations, Julia and Carlos.

I hope you all will enjoy reading our blog and following our travels around the Caribbean.

Searching for the right property

This week we have been quiet busy searching for the right place to live. We went all over Northland and extended our search from Dargaville, Ruawai, Kataia and Whangarei. There are lots of Dairy Farms out there, but I believe we will be expressing interest in the one in Whangarei. In Whangarei we can fullfill everyones need good school for Julia and Carlos, enough work and challenges for Sven and enough opportunities for pursuing my Yoga and Reiki teaching.
It is always astounding what kind of people are trying to act as brookers. One in particular I have to mention. Before meeting him we already named him "Doopey". It took him ages to remember Svens name and to express what he wants to share with us. When we tried to meet him, we asked him where the best place would be to meet and he said, well "on the parking Bay onState Highway I just pass Okaihau", hmmmm.... I wonder how many parking bay there are on State Highway I, but he assured us that he will look out for us. As you can guess, of course we were waiting on a different parking bay as he was, so when we finally manage to meet, he tells us that we should follow him, roughly half an hour gen north. We looked at each other, but nodded and agreed to follow. Little did we know where we were going. "Doopey" jumps into his car and starts racing off. Uiii, he might talk slow, but he is certainly a fast driver. Sven certainly is not a slow driver, but we had a hard time keep up with "Doopey". At some stage Sven and I agreed that he must try to escape from us, we had a good laugh about that. 32 km later and totally out in the wobb wobbs, we stopped and did not even get out of the car, that certainly was not a place we wanted to live.
We keep positive and know that we will be finding the right place for our little family soon.
