Welcome on aboard SV/ JUCA

Our philosophy is to live in peace and harmony with each other and to have lots of fun doing it! We practice compassion and unconditional love and experience that there are no mistakes only stepping stones while we grow on our journey.

We have sold our house in August 2009 and moved from Mangawhai / New Zealand to Norfolk/Virginia to board our Sailing Vessel Juca in January 2010.

Juca is the name of our beautiful 60 foot Morgan, and the name is a creation of the first initials of our amazing inspiriations, Julia and Carlos.

I hope you all will enjoy reading our blog and following our travels around the Caribbean.

Out and about

This week has been quiet busy and I honestly don't know where the days went. We had a girls night out and went to the movies to see "Red Riding Hood". Afterwards we went for a drink and it was a night filled with laughter and chattering all the way. We all decided in the end that we should do that more often. Sven and I made a decision to move on and we are going to sail down to St. Martin and then the Grenadines. We have made contact with a chartering company and going to see what is happening from there. I have unpacked some of our boxes with staff then we needed for our day to day routine, the rest of the boxes I have relocated and repacked inside JUCA. I had a another good spring clean on the boat and it feels really good to have such a tidy and clean yacht.

Today we wanted to go back to the Tamarind Club to have a swim and fun. On our way to the club we meet Rhianna and Marc. They were getting their boat out of the water to repair the engine. We end up going to the Tamarind Club together and again it was a marvoulous afternoon. The children spent hours in and around the pool and we all enjoyed a beautiful lunch together.
