Welcome on aboard SV/ JUCA

Our philosophy is to live in peace and harmony with each other and to have lots of fun doing it! We practice compassion and unconditional love and experience that there are no mistakes only stepping stones while we grow on our journey.

We have sold our house in August 2009 and moved from Mangawhai / New Zealand to Norfolk/Virginia to board our Sailing Vessel Juca in January 2010.

Juca is the name of our beautiful 60 foot Morgan, and the name is a creation of the first initials of our amazing inspiriations, Julia and Carlos.

I hope you all will enjoy reading our blog and following our travels around the Caribbean.

A relaxing day on Beef Island

This morning we decided to stay a day longer to explore and relax on Beef Island for another day. In the morning the weather turned bad, lots of rain and wind and JUCA turned around its own anchor. After watching it for a while we decided to lift the anchor and moved onto a mooring for a calm day and night. Just around lunch time the clouds lifted and the sun came out. I updated our blog and cleaned up the boat and Sven dropped Julia and Carlos off at the beach so that they could play with other children. Once the chores were done we all went to the beach for a swim, a play and a walk; the kids and I treated ourselves with an Ice cream and Sven enjoyed a hot cup of Coffee, had his feet up and let everything else be. We all had a wonderful time and before we knew it it was time to go back to the boat for dinner, roasted Marshmallows for dessert and we all settled down for an early night.
