Welcome on aboard SV/ JUCA

Our philosophy is to live in peace and harmony with each other and to have lots of fun doing it! We practice compassion and unconditional love and experience that there are no mistakes only stepping stones while we grow on our journey.

We have sold our house in August 2009 and moved from Mangawhai / New Zealand to Norfolk/Virginia to board our Sailing Vessel Juca in January 2010.

Juca is the name of our beautiful 60 foot Morgan, and the name is a creation of the first initials of our amazing inspiriations, Julia and Carlos.

I hope you all will enjoy reading our blog and following our travels around the Caribbean.

oh no....Cabin Fever

I think I have got it and Julia and Carlos as well....too windy to leave.......too much waiting and too much time on the boat alone ........there is just so much time you can spend homeschooling your children, cleaning, washing, cooking and eating , playing board games, watching television ....I had enough and very much in need of TLC (Tender, Love and Care) and a good talk on the phone with a cuppa in my hand and an ear to listen to.....I believe this is called cabin fever or at least pretty close to it.

Last night we all had a feast. We cooked the rock crabgs that we bought that morning of the locals. Sven our expert in preparing and cooking these kind of dishes(his chickens are the best, even I have to admit that) cooked the rock lobsters in hot water with the right spices and ...yumm.... it was delicious it even caught Carlos attention how sweet they tasted. The kitchen looked like a mess.... but everyone had a smile on their face .....
