Welcome on aboard SV/ JUCA

Our philosophy is to live in peace and harmony with each other and to have lots of fun doing it! We practice compassion and unconditional love and experience that there are no mistakes only stepping stones while we grow on our journey.

We have sold our house in August 2009 and moved from Mangawhai / New Zealand to Norfolk/Virginia to board our Sailing Vessel Juca in January 2010.

Juca is the name of our beautiful 60 foot Morgan, and the name is a creation of the first initials of our amazing inspiriations, Julia and Carlos.

I hope you all will enjoy reading our blog and following our travels around the Caribbean.

Beeing part of the Fort Lauderdale Community

Today is Saturday and we had another fantastic day in Fort Lauderdale. the weather has been very kind ot us and we are all enjoying it and getting heaps of things done. Julia, Carlos and me are very active and discovering more and more of the Fort Lauderdale community.

After we had spent a very lovely evening at Nicks and Jackies house and got to know their family, we went to watch Sophies basketball game at the nearby gymnasium. Carlos loved it very much and got very enthusiastic about basketball, very much to my delight as I was playing basketball when I was a young girl :)

After spending lots of hours on our favourite playground; we have now discovered the local community swimming pool. the entrance is free and just have a look at the pictures and guess for yourself, whether Julia and Carlos are having a great time here.

This morning the community of the Croissant Park had organised a easter egg hunt for the children of the surrounding neighbourhoods. What a laugh and we all had lots of fun, afterwards we spent our afternoon again in the pools, we love it. Today we have brought our snorkelling gear to practice swimming and snorkelling with flippers and snorkel and mask, it went really well.
